12. Think Pink

PINK HAS MANY PERSONALITIES. Depending on its saturation level, our physiological responses can vary a lot.  Brighter pinks are perceived as youthful, fun, and exciting while softer shades will chill you out.  So much so that some shades are used in prison holding cells to minimize erratic inmate behavior.  Because of its tranquilizing effect, some professional sports organizations paint the locker rooms used by opposing teams in this hue. (Sneaky, huh?) There also seems to be a scientific reason why women prefer pink more than men do.  Some studies suggest men actually lose physical strength in pink rooms, while women become stronger around the color.  So go ahead, mess with human behavior the next time you decorate.  Have fun with the magical powers of pink.
