06. Blue State
If you love the color blue, you are not alone. It is the “favorite color” by a landslide and our preference for this hue is by design. Blues impact us in many ways, depending on saturation levels. Brilliant blues are dynamic and can add drama and energy to a space. Indigo sends us to a contemplative place, enhancing profound insights and instant understandings. Sky blue invokes a restful state and can cause the body to produce chemicals that are calming and soothing. As an added bonus, exposure to blue can also suppress your appetite. Blue dinnerware, anyone? Living in a blue state can be good for your well-being.
